15:07:46 <Aeyoun> ChrisWarrick: write a stupid cookie disclaimer because eof requirement by Google for using Analytics and AdSense.

15:14:45 <Aeyoun> ChrisWarrick: where? what?
15:14:52 <ChrisWarrick> Aeyoun: on your website
15:15:27 <Aeyoun> ChrisWarrick: fixed
15:15:39 <ChrisWarrick> not yet?
15:15:51 <ChrisWarrick> it works in firefox, but not in chrome
15:16:28 <Aeyoun> ChrisWarrick: private window?
15:16:35 <Aeyoun> could be cached in your normal window.
15:16:54 <ChrisWarrick> refreshed and it works; and I am always pasting links into private windows
15:17:23 <Aeyoun> Had to remove SPDY, but forgot it in one place.
15:18:03 <ChrisWarrick> because it’s dead, right?
15:18:48 <Aeyoun> ChrisWarrick: yes, deprecation is starting to cause problems in some scenarios. as you noticed.
15:19:16 <Aeyoun> We’re all just holding our breath for HTTP/2 support in the popular servers
15:20:14 <Aeyoun> nginx plus (aka. paid) has it but not the open source version yet. (Did someone say conflict of interest?) https://www.nginx.com/blog/http2-r7/
15:24:42 * gour likes hiawatha server
17:11:59 <KwBot> [nikola] millenniumhand opened issue #2119: Removing a page does not remove it from the rendered output https://github.com/getnikola/nikola/issues/2119
17:19:30 <KwBot> [nikola] Aeyoun closed issue #2119: Removing a page does not remove it from the rendered output https://github.com/getnikola/nikola/issues/2119
17:20:56 <Aeyoun> gour: doesn’t look like it’s receiving updates anymore. at least no word on HTTP/2
17:21:05 <Aeyoun> nor anything else, come to think of it.
18:24:15 <diggle> so, um, I apparently can't make a post with a : in the title.
18:34:07 <ChrisWarrick> diggle: and what happens if you do that?
18:35:31 <gour> Aeyoun: https://www.hiawatha-webserver.org/weblog/87
18:36:11 <ChrisWarrick> gour: do you really trust a one-man web server?!
18:38:21 <gour> ChrisWarrick: see e.g. https://www.hiawatha-webserver.org/weblog/64
18:38:59 <gour> lighty was on-eman, nginx started similarly, cherokee as well...only apache has big team
18:39:00 <Wayneoween> Why not https://2ton.com.au/rwasa/
18:39:03 <ChrisWarrick> gour: And how many people are actually using it on large servers?
18:39:45 <gour> ChrisWarrick: i'm not concerned about it. how many people use Windows OS ;)
18:44:48 <gour> Wayneoween: thanks for the link. i was aware of it
18:48:48 <gour> *was not
18:51:07 <Aeyoun> http://trends.builtwith.com/Web-Server (Stats)
18:55:32 <gour> my server works behind nginx (reverse proxy) so it's counted as nginx :-)
18:57:36 <gour> btw, any recommendation for some alternative browser (besides ff, chrome)...i'm on gnome
18:57:53 <Aeyoun> gour: GNOME Web?
18:58:17 <Aeyoun> gour: my former employer’s browser: Opera?
18:58:22 <gour> Aeyoun: i just installed epiphany...how does it compare with midori these days?
18:59:17 <Aeyoun> gour: neither are multiprocess and are as such not really options for a day-to-day browser (one crashing tab will bring down the whole thing)
18:59:41 <ChrisWarrick> gour: a modern.ie virtual machine with ie 6
18:59:49 <ChrisWarrick> best browser ever
18:59:55 <gour> Opera was great browser
18:59:59 <Wayneoween> :D
19:00:06 <Aeyoun> gour: Firefox Developer Edition with Electrolysis enabled (their multi-process thing)?
19:01:23 <gour> Aeyoun: i'm aware of crashing browser due to bad tab..and restoring session is usual workflow...however, i'd like to have, at least, which uses less resources
19:04:34 <Aeyoun> gour: no, you want it to use the resources that are available on the system. the alternative would be a slow browser. you probably want it to suspend idle tabs after some time, however, and there are extensions for that.
19:04:39 <Aeyoun> It started raining. Quite a bit. http://www.yr.no/place/Norway/Oslo/Oslo/St._Hanshaugen/meteogram.png
19:29:03 <ralsina_> gour: de vicenzo! https://github.com/ralsina/devicenzo/blob/master/devicenzo.py
19:31:41 <gour> ralsina_: for production? ;)
19:36:12 <ralsina_> gour: of course!
19:36:21 <ralsina_> It s mutiprocess, just start as many as you want! ;-)
19:36:52 <ralsina_> just kidding of course
19:37:03 <ralsina_> I just like writing "I wrote a web browser once"
19:38:28 <Aeyoun> ralsina_: not using qt5 yet? :P
19:38:45 <ralsina_> nor python3
19:38:52 <ralsina_> I have not touched it in 5 years or so :-)
19:42:26 <gour> otoh, almost everything is good-enough for nikola web sites :-)
